Class A jack stands and jacks

We have an Fleetwood Excursion on a Freightliner chassis. I'd like to get a set of jack stands a jack to do basic maintenance. Looking for recommendations for what some of you mechanically inclined folks use

Get stands properly rated for the weight they will have to support. Be aware that they are generally sold in pairs. The ratings are based on the weight the pair of stands will hold, not one. So jack stands rated at 6 tons (12,000 pounds) is the rating for the pair. Each stand can hold 6,000 lbs.

I use a 22 ton air/hydraulic bottle jack with these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sxt-1522/overview/ stands. I also made a set of four 2X12" stair stepped ramps to use for quick repairs & inspections to undercarriage.
Works well for my unit....

Yea, that's what I had in mind. Thanks.

Any pictures of your ramps? I'd be interested to see that.

Jack: I have several but usually the one I use is a Harbor Freight 12 ton air/hydraulic Jack-Jack.

This is a standard 12 ton bottle jack and may be used exactly like my smaller ones by pumping them up with the armstrong pump (If your arm is strong....)

Or you can feed it compressed air and a jack-pump (Works like a jack hammer) will pump it up for you. This jack is now 10 years old, one of my leveling jack failed 2 years ago and I've been using it, with a jack stand, ever since so it gets lots of use.
