Class A mystery switch

I just got a 2000 Harney Renegade. Its on a magnum chassis with a cat and allison transmission. there is a mystery unlabeled momentary switch on the dash under the radio. Dealership didn't know what it was for. Today someone pushed it and you could hear a solenoid type click. Crawled under and it seems like its in or near the transmission.

Any ideas? Some kind of manual torque converter lockup or lockout?

Sounds like a "Battery Boost"
Switch that ties your Chassis and House batteries together for starting boost..........if your Chassis batteries were down. The clicking you hear is a large solenoid pulling in to make the connection...........

Can you post a picture of the switch or where the noise seems to come from if not both?
