Steve and Lynette,
Heck-- just skip the first 4 steps, increase the number of 5's, and the bugs won't bother you anymore-- Good idea

Try this:
Spray down windshield with water. Take a "Bounce" dryer sheet and wipe windshield. Rinse.
For those real stubborn ones you might need to put a little pressure on the Bounce sheet.
I have used 3 Bounce sheets to wash an entire F-350 KR CC Dually and the cap of the 5er.
Now I'll use them on the Destination front end.
For the hard to reach top of the windshield, use an extended handle window squeegee. Don't use the squeegee side, use the mesh side of the squeegee. Put the bounce sheet on the mesh and wipe away the bugs. The Bounce sheet will slip off of the mesh, but will stay on the windshield. Just reposition and continue to wipe.
Good luck.

Wayne ...before you use them on the front of your coach, vinyl mask or not, see my earlier post above. There are pics of the damage on my website at http://www.pjrider.com/DryerSheets.htm. I won't be using dryer sheets on anything but glass!!!

I've used the dryer sheets and they do work. However, I now use some of the green citrus bug and tar remover sold by CW. Comes in a big spray bottle. I mix some of this stuff in a bucket with hot water and use a microfiber bug scrubber rag. The bugs come off easily. Rinse with clean water afterward. I also use No Wet waterless cleaner/wax on the front which seems to make bug removal more easy.

HEY! Max: I think you've hit the nail on the head!!! Great idea....I'll try out using just the 'step #5' idea for awhile. Bet it'll work well!! THIS is why I love this iRV2 site... LOTS of wonderful ideas and help. Thanks. Steve & Lynette

I've been using the Rainx brand of windshield washer. It's great for getting the road grime off the windshield but they also have a "Bug" version that really kept the bug accumulation down while we were in S GA. The area we were in had so many bugs that we were cleaning our windshields every day (1 trip to town & back... about 20 miles round trip).
