What experience have others had in cleaning the curtains for the front window? Mine need cleaned badly.

Do you throw them in the washer (front loader which is safer)?

Do you hang to dry or put in dryer?

Can they be pressed?

The backing is like that you find on insulated drapes. There are no instructions in any of our paperwork on them.

Thank you in advance

You might call or stop by a local fabric store and see if they would now the use and care for this fabric. Let us know when you find out. Thanks.

My front curtains were stained BADLY - both inside and out with 'something' that I could not identify. I decided mine were far enough gone that I could not hurt them by machine washing ('standard' type curtains with white 'linen type' liners). I washed them 3 times - they cleaned up nicely except where the stains were. I ended up using a strong solution of OxyClean and a hand brush. I brushed all of the stains on both the curtains and the lines, then washed 3 more times. Took several hours to do the whole job, but I was suprised at how great they look now. They look like NEW except where the liner was torn in one location!

Look in your owners manual, it says dry clean only.
Look in the section Interior Furnishings & Componets. Under Drapes and Upholstry
