Have done a fairly thorough forum search on this subject and have not found anything. Does someone have any knowledge of using Mop & Glow on a fiberglass roof? Fellow RVer told me he purchased a pricey $$ roof treatment product (no name given) and that its ingredients matched Mop & Glow at a few dollars a bottle. He applied Mop & Glowt using a string mop as you would on a house floor. Claims the result was very satisfactory.
I would like to do same on my Allegro Bus roof.
Any input on what your using on fiberglass roof would be appreciated.

I used Mop n Glow for a few times but wasn't really happy with its durability. So I switched to Zep high traffic floor wax from Lowes and yowzer!

I cleaned the roof and applied 3 coats of Zep. Roof looks great, no white streaks, is still looking good after nearly one year. Many folks use it and have been pleased with its performance.

ZEP high traffic for me as well. I think a gallon @ HD was $16. I did 5 coats and maybe used one quart. It looks good after one year so I plan to only do 2 coats this year. I poured it on straight and used a swiffer mop to spread it out. Looks not so good until you get to 3rd coat-looks new after that.

Please advise how you applied Zep ? Sounds good to me !

We use Rejex on ours. Stays a long time. Easy to apply and wipe off. We use it on the whole coach including the glass. Most bugs including love bugs will wash off with a garden hose. You will have a few that you will have to use a brush/cloth on.

No doubt RejeX is good stuff. Point was in finding a more economical product to compare results with. I would use something like RejeX on the paint surface and something like Zep on roof. As RejeX is $130.00 a gal and Zep is $16.00.

I used Mop n Glow for about 6 years applying it every spring. It lasted all season, so it worked for my needs.

With the new coach I am switching to ZEP. To apply put the ZEP in any type of squeeze bottle. Squirt the area you are going to work in. I use a microfiber pad mop and spread out a light coat, let it dry. If trying to pour it out of a gallon jug, it is hard to control the amount of ZEP and some my run down the side.

Are you looking on how to clean the roof? Or what product to use after? If cleaning, I'm a real believer in the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Mop. Black marks, mold, doesn't matter, it all comes off. I just use dish washing liquid & the mop.

X2 on the Magic Eraser. After its clean & dry, I follow with a couple of coats of Mop & Glo.

I find the roof slippery any time it is wet so caution should always be used of course. Any wax can't make it any better. I do try to work from the front back to the ladder so I'm not standing in it while wet.

I have used Mop & Glow for a few years and while it does do a good job for not much money, it only lasts about one season so next time I will try the Zep.

I used a concoction of Softscrub, Awesome, and Tide to clean the roof using a stiff bristle brush. I also had a small pressure washer to help in the really stubborn areas. After getting the roof clean and white I applied 2 coats Zep High Traffic Floor Wax using a small sponge roller and extension rod, went on really fast. I let it dry overnight before applying the 2nd coat. It has held up extremely well so far ~10 months.

I got on my knees (

) and put it on with a microfiber cloth. Next time I will do as most of the others said and use a microfiber mop.

I've been using PoliGlow for years, specifically for its UV inhibitors. This could be mop-n-glow with additives for all I know. Five years ago I did a massive cleanup of the exterior and roof using spic-n-span, magic eraser, bar keepers friend and thorough rinsing, followed with 5 coats of PoliGlow. Two years ago I applied 2 coats using a sponge mop which restored its super shine. Last week I again applied 2 coats with the same results. I do not know if it's the added UV inhibitors that are making the shine hold up for so long, but something makes it work as well as it does. I'm thrilled with the results, even if it costs more than mop-n-glow.
