I had the same issue on my 2006 Holiday Rambler. I was told to take it to Rick Mackin in Eugene, he use to work in the paint department at Monaco in Junction City.
I took it to Rick who stripped and repainted and clear coated the entire upper radius', sides, front and rear. It came out beautiful and was the lowest price I could find.

Home | Mackin Street Customs

Rick knows the cause and knows the remedy. It cost me less than $2K.

I'm going to have to tackle my roof radius next year after I retire. Luckily my coach is mainly white and white from the roof line up. I'm also experience some bad clear on the darker color swoosh where it crosses the entry door. Starts out as a pin hole looking spot and then the clear just begins letting go.

I’m wet sanding and clear coating mine this week . If it lasts 2 years will do it again.60$ in clear coat is cheaper than 2,000$ repaint. Did one panel already and.ooks great. Started with 800 then 1,000 and finished with 1500.

Are you clear coating with a spray can type clearcoat? Or professional sprayer? I can certainly sand and spray, but don’t have Pro equipment.

Would love to see an “after” picture.

I have a large compressor and a couple spray guns, but I use this 2 part clear for small areas.

I was under the impression that the end caps were manufactured with paint in the gel-coat & could be buffed to restore.

Your Clear cote issue is beyond an easy fix !
It needs to be to sanded down to the color - base and repainted and then re-clear coated . There is no easy fix.

I did base coat then clear coat. If it don’t hold will do again when and if it starts to peel. I have under 60 dollars in whole job.

I went the vinyl route

A local body shop that does a fair amount of RV work, quoted $1,950 to repaint mine above the gutter, though my coach is fairly short 29'5" bumper to bumper, and closer to 25 feet at the roof line not counting the fiberglass end caps due to the slope nose design. In the end I have opted to lightly sand it down and put a near color matching vinyl stripe along the length of the coach as I found some that is a close color match to the rest of the coach. I plan this as a DIY project in the next month or so when the weather cools down, I would not suggest this for everyone. I do have a fair amount of experience working with vinyl graphics, as I did own a vinyl sign and screen printing shop for about 7 or 8 years about 20 years ago. So I hope it is a bit like riding a bicycle and will quickly come back to me.
same issue with my 2005 Journey, I purchased a 6" wide vinyl wrap material the near identical color match as the paint and installed it myself. Sorry the pictures aren't closer.

Nice work on both. My base coat went down great. Started clear coat and wind came up. Came out looking dry. Need to wet sand, buff, and wax. Headed on vacation to Maine. Do when I get home in a couple weeks. Or when I get to Florida this winter.

Ugh, I'm getting a quote for 11.5k to repair my roof radius where the clear coat is failing. Not sure if inflation would justify this amount in 2023. Iron Horse RV Specialist in San Antonio Texas. The repair I'm requesting is the same as RVgeeks did in their YouTube Video
