Cool Cloudy windows

On a 2005 Fleetwood Revolution LE The windows are cloudy

Or was there a recall

Welcome to IRV2. These are a common problem that happens when the seal between the dual pane glass breaks down and allows moisture to seep in. There are a few Co's around that remove them and reseal them. You may want to do a google search in your area for someone who repairs " fogged " dual pane windows.

There is no recall - it is not a safety issue unless the clouded window blocks the driver's view of a rear view mirror.

It is a very common problem in RVs and came about when dual pane glass got popular. Several companies produced the glass and the seal between the panes was not up to the movement in RVs. Once the seal is broken, moisture gets in and make it cloudy. By the way, the cloudiness will disappear if you get several dry days in a row.

Fixing the glass itself isn't hard, but removing and replacing the windows is somewhat labor intensive. Figure an average of $200-$250 per window for rep[airs.

Hi inbanfi1958,
Sun Coast desiigners in Hudson Fl does a great job on replacing glass if you are in their area. I had them do a couple of windows for me right on their lot. Man did they ever do a goo job and price was nice too. Also, glad to see another newbie at irv2.

Go to "SEARCH" and type in FOGGED WINDOWS.
Every question you have or ever might have is there. Hope that helps.

We ordered new glass from Atwood and had it replaced at a collision shop in our area. Atwood has a link on it's website to find recommended dealers in your area. We took the whole window out but couldn't get the glass out so took it to Schroeder's Body Shop in Howell, MI. Matt who I believe owns Schroeder's was just wonderful and had it done in about an hour and was right on his original estimate. Whole process, including the glass was about $350 for the driver's side stationery window in a Class A motorhome.

I have the same problem with my 96 Holiday Rambler, I carefully broke out the inside pane leaving just one pane. This seems too easy, is there a safety issue.

No safety issue - you just lost some insulation.

If you remove the window and heat the glass with a hair drier, working your way to the edge then seal the edge that will work.
