Constant and annoying rattle

One of my ceiling vents rattles when driving or when open in windy weather. It is driving me nuts! How do I remove the interior screen so that I can tie it from the inside? Would this be something my new RV warranty should cover?

Hi okmunky,
This should be covered by your warranty.

How to remove the inside screen depends on the brand name of the vent. Most have little screws, and should be visible. FantasticFan has a new type screen that simply pops into place, and can be popped out by hand once you find the raised "finger-hold" on it. Sounds like something is loose in the raise/lower linkage.

Thanks Gary and Paul! After further inspection with eyeglasses, it looks like I will have to open the skylight and then climb up on the roof -groan- to access the hardware. It's probably something easy to fix if it wasn't for going on top. I'm in Minnemucca, Nevada headed south on a long boring stretch of road. Guess what I'll be doing after breakfast tomorrow.

Is there ALWAYS something that needs fixing that delays progress? Seems like all I do lately is fix dumb stuff. Today it was the bathroom door that wouldn't stay shut on curves. Only took a $2 latch, but all told with buying the latch, getting tools in
and out, etc. it delayed leaving by 90 minutes.

For some reason I thought retirement was supposed to be easier than this.
