Converter/Charger

So I have been researching this for quite some time. I am about to purchase two 6 volt T 105 Trojan batteries to replace my two 12 volt house batteries. My motor home is a 1996 Pace Arrow. My question is this, several times I have read that one should make sure that the charger/converter they have is able to run the 2 6 volt set up. How does one determine this, also has anyone made this conversion in a motor home on par with mine, I don trembler which converter system I have. I think it was a PD 9055? Any advise would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if Progressive Dynamics is still producing Converter / Chargers. I'll check see if they're maintaining a web page, posting any manuals, BUT , you will need the exact model number to get the info you want.

As far as the charger is concerned, two 6 volt batteries in series is no different than a single large 12 volt battery. All batteries are composed of several 2.2 volt cells. The 12 volt battery has 6 cells that give 13.2 volts. A 6 volt battery has 3 cells. Two of them have 6 cells. Your charger doesn't care if the 6 cells are all in one case or if they are split up into two cases.

You charger will work just fine.
