Cost of Trend Awning

Hi fellow rvers,
I just purchased a 2014 Winnebago Trend 23L. On my first time out, i pulled into a gas station with a low roof overhang and I caught the rv awning on the roof gutter. Both of the retractable arms were damaged and the awning has a rip. The whole thing will need to be replaced. I tried to locate approximate cost to replace it online and am not having any luck. I know it will be a pretty penny because it is over 15 feet long, has led lights on it and is an electrically operated unit. Does anyone know the cost of replacement? Do I need to go to a Winnebego dealership to have it replaced? They are few and far between in my area.

There should be a Make/Model sticker on the awning or in the information you received with the rig. Do a search using this information.

Yes it will probably be expensive but any RV dealership with a service department should be able to replace.

Locate the type and model of the awning and then go to the website and find a local dealer. They will get you back in shape. If your awning does not have a metal cover when retracted up grade the awning while you are at it.

I had a full wall slide replaced by carefree a few years ago and the price was 2000 labor and material. So yours should be a lot less than that.

Our friend borrowed our 2015 Itasca Viva and ripped the awning and broke the arms. It cost about $2,500 at Camping Worls for the motorized awning full replacement

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Congrats on the new rig! Keep her between the ditches!

Sorry about your boo-boo! We have all done things like that!

As others have said, your insurance should cover the replacement. Call them, then take it to a dealer for an estimate. If for some reason you have to pay for it yourself, get the model number off the tube and Google it for the best price!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
