Cover protection

When you install your RV cover how do you protect the cover from tearing on the sharp edges of a TV antenna and a satellite dish. I was thinking of cutting a plastic 55 gal. drum in half and trim the half down for a closer fit to lower the height and cover them and then install the cover . We are located in NE PA. Still learning. THANKS AGAIN

The only sharp edge that has worn my cover is the rotating roof vent that I added to the waste tank vent on the roof.

I saved my old Adco vinyl wheel covers after replacing them due to age & appearance. I now throw one of the old wheel covers over the vent before I cover the coach. Works like a charm.

My wife does all the driving - I just hold the wheel...
