I'm sure you have a unanimous vote here to replace the windshield, but add my agreement as well.

I had to have a half windshield replaced on a previous motorhome at a cost of $ 1,200 just for the glass. Have them replace it at their expense...not yours later.

Joe, tell me it ain't so . Is that what I may expect to pay just for one of those Journey windshields???

I am sure I've got a pesky leak due to rusting of the frame. I had planned to diddle with it myself but eventually will need to have someone remove the glass so the rust can be properly dealt with. I am told the glass will likely break when it is removed .

Thanks to everybody who responded on the cracked windshield. We did have it replaced and it looks great. Now the only problem is it's still at the dealers and will stay there until spring. We signed the papers on it last Saturday so it's all ours.....well - and the banks. Seeing as my wife is a teacher, we won't get the chance to use it until next summer. Dealer said they'd store it until spring for us - and to call them in the spring and they'll wash and wax it for us as a freebie. Wonderful dealership called Steinbring Motorcoach in Garfield, MN. It's going to be a long winter keeping the road trip urge at bay. Thanks again to all.

You might go to this site and give them a rating as GOOD service centers are hard to find.

Good move getting it replaced because if you have these questions now about the windshield you can bet that when it comes time for you to sell it, the next person will have the same questions.

ps It is only illegal if the crack obstructs your view.
