I'm new to this site and to RV owning, I bought a 1990 Fleetwood Pace Arrrow P30 with a Cheverolet 454 Chassi recently and the cruise control is not working. I've checked all the vaccum lines and fuses but can't seem to find the problem, can anyone help me out here, we are getting ready for a 800 mile round trip and it sure would be nice to have a cruise control.. Thanks... Trent

my moho is 11 yrs newer than yours. your brake light switch may be different from mine.
my cruise control is wired through the brake light switch. my switch has 2 sets of contacts and 2 elec. connectors.
if your switch is similar, use the search resource of this forum for the procedure to adjust this switch. the plunger on the switch wore on mine. the brake lights worked, but not the cc. my cc works fine after adjusting this switch.

The P-30 chassis uses a GM type cruise control

This unit has a few sensors.. Now the speed sensor depends on the model year and I don't know what sensor is used for what year so I can not help you there but ONE sensor is .... The brake light switch

Here is how you test it

With the unit in PARK, start the engine, Open the window so you can hear or call your partner on either radio or cell phone.. Partner stands behind you on this.. (In fact behind the motor home)

Feet off the pedals brake lights should be OFF. if they are ON you have a short (likely the switch itself)

Now "hit the brakes" (Depress the pedal) Lights must come on.. If they don't your options are:

Blown fuse, bad switch, broken wire, BOB (Burned out bulb) bad turn signal switch

Fix that and see if it fixes the problem

I have tested my CC by lifting the brake pedal while in CC. if CC doesn't stay on its the brake switch. My switch can be adjusted by turning threaded plunger in the switch that hits the brake pedal lever. You have to remove two plugs to adjust plunger.
