When we bought our new motor home in November 2009, we also bought a windshield treatment to minize chips and cracks from Crystal Fusion Technologies through the RV dealer in Colorado. The protection is backed up by a Limited Garantee Agreement administered by Safe-Guard International, LLC. The agreement calls for windshield repair or replacement if damage is caused by propelled stones or road debris.
Well, since then, we had a small crack clearly caused by stone impact which was repaired (at no cost to us) by Safelite. Then, two new cracks developped at both top corners with no sign of impact. The Safe-Guard technician concluded that those were stress-induced cracks and are not covered by the protection agreement. American Coach (ie, Fleetwood) seems to agree to replace the windshield under warranty. We are bringing the coach to American Coach in Decatur, Indiana for that and other warranty work.
But, our protection agreement stipulates that we must treat the new windshield within 3 days of replacement if we want to maintain the protection warranty. American Coach does not apply the Crystal Fusion treatment. I have been trying to find a treatment place in Central Indiana or Southern Illinois for several days by calling/emailing Crystal Fusion and Safe-Guard with no success. Does anyone have any advice or comment for us?

You could try a Camping World full service dealer. We are one and install the Crystal Fusion System.

How much does the treatment cost? Most insurance policies have a low deductible for glass coverage. Unless the treatment was dirt cheap I think I'd just lower my deductible. Since you got chips and cracks it doesn't seem to work real well, IMHO.

We paid $1,295 up front for a 5-year warranty coverage. So, if we violate the re-application requirement for the new windshield, we waste 4+ years of protection we already have paid for.
The Colorado dealership from which we bought the RV could do the new treatment. The problem is that we will not get back from Indiana to Colorado in time to comply with the 3-day maximum delay between installation and treatment.

Thank you RV wizard.
How do I go about locating a full service CW in the area of interest (Central Indiana/Southern Illinois)? Is there a directory I can access? I tried searching on Google, but I did not get anything.
