Dash A/C not cooling

Help, I just bought 2000 american, the dash a/c blowing warm air. It is hot in Augusta, ga. 97 today. The compressor is kicking in, tried vaccum and re-charge, but not cooling. Any suggestions for troubleshoot would be greatly appreciated. I am too broke to take it in.

You don't provide enough information to do any kind of meaningful analysis. You should take it to a service shop. Let them do a good analysis and begin budgeting for the service.

Is the heater control valve shutting all the way? Feel the hose on the heater core side compared to the engine side.
