JB55, Did you get your dash air problem solved? I have a 2004 Dolphin also and can send you a picture of the exact valve if you still need it.

Checkk the little black tubing at the end of the green tube going into the valve. Mine had a crack in it and it wouldn't build up vacuum to operate dash valves. I replaced it and it works fine. Windshield wiper tubing.

The heater hose ball valves are the cheapest solution to this problem. The valves sure improved ours. The problem, as I understand it, is caused by the radiator/condenser being too close together to allow proper air flow. Neither Workhorse or my RV mfg will take responsibility and fix it. Of course, if you want to spend a bunch of money, either will be happy to install an upgrade A/C kit to make it work as it should.

I assume the ball valves are installed after the mixer valve and infront of the heater core...Do you just shut them off in the summer? will the mixer valve handle the pressure?.
I am told that the mixer valve only goes to bypass on OFF and MAX AIR...On regular AC, hot water still goes thru the core and it is the damper that diverts cold air to the vents but the core is still hot from the coolant...
If the damper door is not closing tight, the heater core temp reduces the AC effect.....The temp switch (hot or cold) controls the damper door and the mode switch (AC/Max air, vent controls the mixer valve...I didn't think it worked that way but I tested and found out it did.
No way did I think coolant went thru the core on regular AC, but is does....therefore the ball valve set up makes real sense to get the most from your AC but position the mode to MAX AIR to open the bypass of the mixer valve...RKL

Pics are now up of my valve install. Go to "Photos"/members gallery/eandy and shuffle through. I simply replaced the existing valve adjusting hose for valve width and hose clamped in place. The second valve goes in the return hose. Closed both for ac use and will open when heater needed.

Did you use threaded nipples clamped into each end of the hose to attach the valve to?
