Dashboard covers/ how to modify

Just received a dashboard cover by Josie for my 05 Winnebago Vectra. While it fits and is shaped correctly I was disappointed that it does not have any cutouts for the window defrosters. looking for suggestions on the best way to create said openings and to protect them from fraying or further ripping. Hopefully others have completed this modification and can offer suggestions.

Lowes/Home Depot sell a carpet end finishing tape that is used for finishing the end of "cut to size" carpet runners. It comes in several colors and worked well on our runner. It should stick to the dash cover pile.

Wade RV made our cover; they cut out the slots for the vents, then stitched around the cutouts with some sort of seam tape maybe what Rambeau is referring to. In any event, it's stitched not stuck. Probably any carpet shop or sailmaker could handle it.

On both Class As that we put dash mats in I purchased them from Josie. The defroster vents were held on with screws. I removed the screws and the vents. I put the mat in place and made a slit where the vents were. I then enlarged the holes a little at a time. If you make the holes to big you are stuck with what you have.

I followed up with Mike at Dashboards by Josie and decided to select the return option. I still recommend his company as he handled the entire transaction in a profession manner and processed the return with no hassle.
