I decided to replace the nightmare of day/night shades in our 2004 Winnebaga Brave with regular pleated shades. I found the size I need on line at American Blinds and Wallpaper. I was wondering if anybody else has already done so and what I need to look out for.

Have you considered the roll down shades from MCD? They are pricey but a lot of people have started to switch to them. We saw them at the Winnebago Grand National Rally in July and plan to replace our day/night shades with them.
You can see them here MCD Innovations

We replaced ours a year ago with MCD shades, and also replaced the difficult to use curtain around the front windshield that didn't block much light. MCD shades are expensive ...as are any quality shades ...but we really do like them. I did the installation on all the window shades. Davis Cabinets in Junction City OR (an MCD dealer) did the basic install around the cab area, but I did the wiring for the three powered shades, using the OEM wiring for the little powered sunshades that came with the coach.
