Diamond coating coach

When we bought the coach I let they dealer talk me into applying a liquid diamond coat to the coach. It is supposed to be put on yearly but I keep it waxed with a Mother's Fiberglas boat gel coat wax wouldn't that be just as good as that liquid that appears to be as thin as water. Y'all's comment would be appreciated.
Thanks
Harry

In the industry this is the single highest profit margin add-on. Whatever you paid for it was 90% pure profit for the dealer. The actual "Diamond Coat" is nothing more than a cheap polymer wax that you can buy at Walmart or PepBoys for $5.95. Sorry, but you got taken to the cleaners.

Thanks I kind of figured this after I started looking at the solution that they left in the coach. I wax it 2x a year with Mother Marine Fiberglas gel coat wax and it stays under a cover when no in use .

Good question. Diamond Shield is permanent:

I have the Diamond Shield on the front of the coach already. But what I am referring to is a liquid in a bottle that they apply over the outside surface of the coach. Thanks for the response I am not going to let them apply it and continue with the marine Fiberglas wax.

Be aware diamond shield needs to be cleaned with a soft cloth it can be scatched and ruined easy with abrasives, waxed with a non yellow wax to keep it looking good. A good auto wax will work since you have full body auto paint. I believe marine wax is made for gel coat.

Harry..
You need to use a good automotive wax on the entire coach.. The paint on your coach is the same used on automobiles.. The gel coat is below the paint..
Remember Wax on Wax off!
