Diamond Shield or Xpel?

I’ll be having my MH repainted later this year. My rig came from the factory with a vinyl mask for the front end instead of paint protection film. That said, I have no experience with films, other than reading horror stories about some of the early versions.

I’ve decided to ditch the mask for a good film. The shop that will be doing my paint job recommends Diamond Shield. However, I recently read an article in MH Magazine describing the benefits of a high end film called Xpel. It looks like a good product. One negative is it’s warranty, it has a 10 year warranty, while Diamond Shield carries a lifetime.

Any suggestions?

I would put the money in a savings account, that way if you need a little touch up you will have the money.
I have a 2003 Bounder and there are only a couple of small chips way down on the front edge. There are dozens of people complaining about Theas kinds of products. They don't last and are expensive to remove and replace.
I would do some more research because there are a lot of people complaining about them. I think it is something that isn't needed but is a profit center item like having the dealer "Scotch Guard" the fabric.

I had 3m film on mine. Had the front repainted a couple of years ago. No film. Never again.
