Does anyone out there have experience in removing the diamond shield off the front cap of their motor home, if so how much work is it and does it really pay vs. looking at the cracked film?

I have seen it removed (by a certified Diamond Shield installer) and it also peeled the paint. He told me there's a good chance it will damage the paint when removed.

I would say a 50/50 chance of paint damage. Mine got repainted under warranty. To remove it's slow go with heat. How bad does the look bother you it's going to be a lot of work.

Hi Bentley
I recently took the DS off my coach. I tried several different methods. All seemed to work and all seemed to fail. There was no rhyme or reason when the clear coat would sometimes come off, it just did. I'm getting the front repainted this summer. Paint and clear coat only, no DS. I got a bra for the coach, at the Tampa RV Super Show.

Mine had 3M vinyl. I removed it over a period of months one summer working when summer sun was on it. It is tedious, finger-torture work. I bought some "Vinyl Off" but not sure it helped any. I lost some Clearcoat in a few places on light color areas. No more vinyl etc for me ...and I prefer braless too! :-)
