Noise

Let's do a sound meter test 5 ft in the rear of a DP vs the front of a gasser.
Lately a 45 ft DP went by me I was sitting outside, just like where you neighbors would be. It hurt my ears!
DIESELS are louder PERIOD!
I've put some insulation in the engine compartment of my DP. So others are don't have to put up with as much noise.

It's the inside that matters to me although I do open my side window going through a campground to hear that baby run.

Diesel vs. gas

Do you really need to do studies, graphs, charts ect...I think everyone knows a diesel MH is going to be quieter in the drivers seat...the engine is in the rear, and my "smart" phone didn't tell me that.
Exactly right I didn't chose a diesel because of the noise either, I just wanted something to pull my 7000 lb. Boat! I just went through 200 hundred posts on air bags vs. springs? All these topics turn out the same way! MY RIG IS BETTER THAN YOURS! In the end we are all losing money on our rig! We might as well enjoy the trip. Regards

How can one argue with that? The dead horse is starting to smell.

200 hundred posts. Isn't that equal to 200,000?
