Good luck, in past years it's what wouldn't sell in other locations.

The last few years we have gone to RV shows in the Chicago area, more to get out of the house and do something on a cold winter weekend than anything else. They have been very disappointing, mostly low end travel trailers, a few low end class c's and a few token A's. There was a pretty good Roadtrek exhibit though, although class b's are a little too small for us. Again, lots of vendors that had little or nothing to do with RVing.
I think these shows are catering mostly to young families and not so much older and/or retired buyers.
We'll probably go again this year, just to combat the cabin fever.

The show in Columbus Oh. was ok. Fleetwood Excursions, Discovery, Providence, Winnebago Tour, Sightseer and a few class C's, lots of trailers, lots of nice 5th wheels.
On the Internet the Indy show should be good if interested in trailers or 5th wheels.
Tom Raper RV will be there so that should improve the show.
I am interested in hearing mire about the Indy show or the Pittsburgh show.

The show in Louisville last year was very disappointing. Hardly any large Class A's at all and nothing on the floor from Holiday Rambler, Monaco, or Entegra. It seemed to be geared mostly to the lower end RVs.

After 3 or 4 RV shows, I quit going to them. They were all disappointing. My biggest complaint was that I never seemed to be able to get any kind of an intelligent answer to any but the most basic questions. For example, ask for the current rating of the charger, or if the inverter is true sine wave. The most common answer is "Duh, I don't know." Worse, is when they give you whatever answer they think you want to hear.

The Pleasanton RV show was pretty good and better than past years since 2008. We were just looking and getting in a good walk around the place. There were lots of towables but a good number of mh's as well. Also picked up some good campground info from the vendors....

No RV accessory vendors, just local CG's and home improvement vendors. Only one semiar that keep repeating (State Park). However, same price $10. We were only interested in changes in the A's, CG's and accessories. We were in and out in under an hour on a Friday night. The show's website was hosted by GS (yes, if you read the fine print at the bottom of the site it is Good Sam).

I went saturday and also spent less than an hour. There were two vendors from last year that I specifically wanted to talk to, but neither were there. I won't be going back next year.

Yeah, we went to a local RV show last spring. I find they're always less of a "show", more of a "sale", because everyone you talk to is asking you what you currently own, then giving reasons to buy a new one. There were about 150-200 RVs, but basically 98% of them were travel trailers. Mostly smaller ultralights, all either very similar or identical to each other. There were also a few 5th wheels, and the odd park-model, which were nice, but we went mainly to see the motorhomes....which there weren't many of. 1 class A (Jayco), 3 gas Class A (2 Thors, 1 newmar), and 2 diesel pushers (Newmar).
Many of the RVs were left over models, some even 2yrs old. And yes, they locked the "SOLD" ones. The vendors were useless...because I can go anywhere and spend $140 on a patio mat, right? haha
Wasn't exactly worth $10, but was a nice way to spend an afternoon. It was one of those shows that you go to once, but probably not again, because pretty much the same units will probably be there next year. And all those trailers start to look alike after a while.

Yep, it usually is. I went today. Lots pf people for a Thursday. The exhibits were pretty full (raining outside), and there were many, many new MH and towable units to see.
Probably too late for this year, but plan on it for next year.

Went to Tampa show today, vendors were selling items at same price we could buy on line at lower price and show prices for HM were no lower then what they sell them for on lot. Very dispointed that the show was not represented by manfactures, but large dealers like Lazydays and Camping World.

I have a hard time with the idea I should pay to have someone show me their products. If I can't snag a free ticket, there are better ways to spend my time.
