Disappointing

Over the years we have driven thru New Mexico many times. We knew the Carlsbad Caverns would always be here when we were ready to visit.

Well today we took a little detour off HWY 10 and drove to the Caverns. Guess what the Government closed today.

We're going to stay thru tomorrow. Maybe the children in Washington will quit squabbling and get the Government going again.

What disappoints me is that our current administration and Congress feels that threats of stopping SS & military pay will scare some into supporting their position.
Maybe they should suspend congressional, administration and staff pay until this is settled. I'm betting it wouldn't take long if that were to happen.

Gents,
While running the risk of this thread being removed for political thoughts/issues/ideas/. Yes, their pay IS NOT SUSPENDED when things like this happens. Isn't it amazing that they are EXEMPT from just about everything THEY impose on us as rules??
