Do I need to replace my 30amp power cable

Hi,

Where the cable meets the socket there is a crack in the plastic, the tape the previous owner had put on has frayed so I replaced it. I could not see any bare copper.

Should the cable be replaced or is it Ok?

Thanks,.

I think what is being said is take a picture of it as is.
Ultimately you should replace the plug with a new one from Home Depot, etc.
The connections are often where the heat starts. Replace it.

It is likely a one time replacement. Get it done before it is a problem.

I replaced mine last spring. HINT - The pins will push out a little to make it easier to get a screwdriver on the terminals... They'll push back in when you reassemble.
