Do you leave water pump on?

While dry camping or turn it off after each use?

I have mine on 24/7, of course I am staying in it also. I don't think there is a draw if it is not Runing.

Do you leave water pump on?

Most of the time, yes. But, one time I should have shut it off because a person visiting left the bathroom sink running and about half the freshwater went down the drain. So, it is a good idea to shut the pump off between use, as a protocol, to prevent such an incident. Or, to prevent a major wetting episode if you spring a leak.

On when home, off when gone. Avoids surprises.

We turn it off when not using, whether we're there or not. Every water fixture on the MH has a switch that turns on the pump, so it can be done from any location.

We try to remember to turn ours off. There can be a slight parasitic draw otherwise. Same reason I use the disconnect switch when it's in storage.

Not all water systems are completely pressure tight. Leaving it on can cause the pump to cycle every so often. I prefer to shut it off if I'm not using it.

If your water pump runs intermittently you should probably find out where the leak is because that water is going somewhere.

Very true ours was/is the strainer between the water pump and the fresh water tank. Just got a new one. Plus I noticed that the pressure relief valve on the water heater has a drip so I got 2

When we leave for an outing I turn off.in a campground I will most time even turn off the water at the faucet when leaving for the day, along with pulling in the awning. Three time in 20+years I have turned off other RVs water supply when I saw the water coming out the trailer door.
