Train "noise" is often nice, as it is another sign that we are out adventuring, always a good thing.

Train noise then Ruskin, Florida comes too mind! I swear, early morning, like 3 AM, they see a RV park and then they really lay on the horn!

My thoughts, exactly.

That's it. I found a video and figured how to post. Enjoy.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see the appeal. At least you didn't have the lights and bells of the crossing gates. Can you imagine having payed a travel agent to book you into a hotel with that next to it. Guess I need to get out more. Apparently I'm missing something.

And your problem is??
Try staying at the St Johnsville NY St. Johnsville, NY, United States - Google Maps
The Buffalo New York City (I am lead to believe) tracks run right at the edge of camp. Follow to the east and count the trains along the views. ISTR that the trains run about every 20 minutes and just about 24/7.
We loved it.

Pretty much all the CGs in the Columbia Gorge, on both the Oregon and Washington side, are next to train tracks. The trick is to not stay at one that's next to where they blow their horns. The worst, IMO, is the KOA at Cascade Locks. All that said, I love the sound of trains, especially working uphill, just not their horns close by!

I'm having the same big/small problems with this page- it started right after Palehorse finally got his above-mentioned video to upload using the site's brand-new video upload feature...
I don't know if he's the first to try it or not, but since I'm not having this problem with any other pages here I wondered if there could be a connection.
