Does anyone really use their outdoor "shower"?
And if so, for what purposes? I ask because, for one, the hose is so short it seems useless without doing some sort of mod (like hose extensions). I know, somewhere, I saw a post about someone adding a quick connect and extension hose. It seems to me that that would be the only plausible answer to making use of this. Further, at least in my case, the compartment is under the slide out, making it even more of a challenge to get to and making some sort of use of it without doing some sort of mod. Just curious as to what others do with this, if anything at all.

I threw away the worthless shower parts and added hose bibs. Now it's useful.

Yes. We use it to rinse off after swimming. I use it for cleaning the grill. We use it for washing our dogs. I use it for wash down of the black water tank when the state parks have shut thier water off and we still camp and dump at the end of our stay. And yes I use a back flush valve.

Yes, we specifically made sure we had one. We use it all the time to rinse our dogs off after a hike or time at the beach. Also to rinse our feet off after a day at the beach.

Maybe I should have added this on my OP. As you can see, not much of a hose length to reach anything within 2 feet, if that.
I like that mod John. Maybe that's something I can plan on.
Tomtall,
I am curious about using yours for rinsing off after a swim. Is your hose longer? Did you modify the original? Either way, I wouldn't be able to use mine for that purpose without an extension as mine is under the slide out and I couldn't stand upright.

About the only useful thing we do with it is to clean up after disconnecting the slinky and when some of the icky stuff drips out of the drain and into any part of the water bay.

BTW...when we are NOT dry camping we find that either there are to host faucets or we use a Y adaptor. One side goes to coach and the other side goes to a curly hose that has a water off, quick connect. It can then plug into and adaptor feeding our black tank rinse or we can connect a sprayer. Of course, it is cold water only.

We parked on the beach one time and it was useful for rinsing the sand off our feet! That's the only time it's ever been used!

We use it anytime we have to wash or rinse something off outside, which is always at least once a trip, especially the dogs.

On my previous MH the shower was on the passenger side. When fishing or hunting we set up an outdoor kitchen under the awning and used the shower for the kitchen sink.
Worked GREAT!

I put a strip of velcro on the wall and a strip on the pump hand soap, to keep it in place. I always wash up after dumping the sewer. It works perfectly for that purpose.

Ours has a quick disconnect fitting and came with a 1/2" coil hose with regular hose fittings so it will reach about 6 feet and I can also connect it to a longer hose or use any regular garden hose accessory. I would adapt what you have to a regular garden hose fitting, your local hardware store can help with finding or making what you need.

Rinsed grandkids and dogs off. Used it for outdoor washing/rinsing of large things. Have disinfectant hand soap in the service bay and washed my hands after messing with the sewer hose.
Didn't think I would use it much but I did.
