We had our first MH for a year and could never come up with a name. We tried but nothing seemed to work, everything felt contrived, so it was just the coach.

During the week of delivery of our new motorhome I was installing the 3G router and wanted to test the phone (the motorhome as it's own phone number attached to this AT&T router) My wife didn't come north with me for the delivery so I called her at home to test the system. When she retreived the phone the caller ID came up as "Twila Moore".

I always felt there would be a serendipitous moment that would define the perfect name. Even though my wife my is not crazy about the name ... "Twila" it is!

We've had a sailboat named SummerPlace long before the MH. The MH is used mostly to escape the Northwest winters - hence WinterPlace

Since our coach has "MINNIE" decaled all over her exterior, it just seemed natural to call her by that name. Even better when we found stickers that look like Minnie Pearl's hat (complete with price tag) which fit well over the top corner of the M's.

We call ours "Gru" from the movie Despicable me. Some of our friends say that I remind them of the villain. My wife works at Universal Orlando, hence we called him Gru but spelled it Gruu because the other one was already taken.

Ours is named Grumpy. We bought it from the DWs brother and that's the name he gave it so we decided to keep it. However the DW keeps trying to buy me Grumpy t-shirts I wonder if she is trying to tell me something?

Well, we haven't bought ours yet (gettin' close) but I have been pondering a few names.

Friends who know us well voted for "Whisky Neat"... we won't go into the reasons why

In anticipation of how much money we'll spend on the coach, I thought "Bloater Home" or "Tender Spender" were good ideas. My wife doesn't want to be reminded.

Hoping for the good life while traveling, my wife suggested "Serene Machine." It's not bad, just a little touchy-feely for my taste.

Since we're downsizing everything, quitting jobs and retiring early, I thought the most appropriate name would be "Eff'd It and Left It." The DW is concerned it might start too many inappropriate conversations; I'm actually looking forward to them

It's a little kitschy, but I'll be towing a Hyundai Veloster which we've nicknamed the "Veloster Raptor." Considering its relative size, I think the RV could be "Rigosaurus" or "Arveeceratops."

Last, and perhaps least, is "The Dread Not," after the huge dreadnought battleships of the early 20th century. The more I think about it, the more I like it.

Clearly, I have more brainstorming to do

In thinking of a name for our 06 Winnebago sightseers we tossed around lots of things. In talking about trips we realized that the most time would be spent in the desert drifting around the Southwest visiting children and grand children. So we came up with The Desert Drifter. We have a home in the high desert of NM, family in San Antonio TX and Phx. AZ.
