Dometic awning not extending

Was wondering if anyone had an idea why it wont extend. It goes out about 3 ft and then stops. It was working fine last weekend. It retracts fine but it won't extend past 3 ft. Help....its hot in south padre island.

Oh, so so many possibilites. First what model??????????
There are straight electric models, then ones with control boards and wind sensors, old and new styles, etc.
Does the motor keep running while you push the switch out once it hits that stopping point? Can you push it out? Is the arm(s) bent? Is the fabric bound up?

It is an old manual one. I think that it is the original one on this rv. Its from 1999. It has AE dometic on the arms. The arms look straight and the fabric is not bound up. It pulls out fine for 3 feet then its like it hits a stop or something. Just won't go out any further. When I retract it, it goes right back up, no problem.

Couldn't find a model in the encyclopedia that the original owner had made.

Good, I assumed it was electric this whole time. There is probably something wrong with the torsion asy., if I had to guess.
If so, it has to be removed, unwound, fixed, rewound, and reinstalled.

Welps, I was hoping that it would be something simple. Bettere than having to replace it. Guess I better read up on how to do all that. Thanks for all the help.
