Dometic awning retracts after 1 hour

why does my Dometic awning retract after about 45 minutes to one hour after extending it. How can I extend my awning and have extended and retract it when I want to. I want to be able to sit and grill under my awning without fear of it retracting on its own.

I disabled the wind sensor. That feature is notoriously flawed.

May not be the same thing, but my Sunsetter awning will retract when the wind sensor battery is low or removed. Apparently, it's a safety feature so that it doesn't get left out without 'protection' when the battery goes. Pulled my hair out over that until the CS person explained it.

Sounds like wind sensor is retracting; much better to have it auto retract that be ripped off and/or damaged? If you feel there is no wind, no reason to retract, the sensor may need adjusting; otherwise, there is a switch to turn sensor off, but highly recommend leaving sensor ON if any doubt on wind/ potential wind damage. Remember, sails have moved huge ships for thousands of years.
