Door Trim Glue
The outside trim for my door has become "unglued" so when driving it I hear road noise and it actually will pull out form the door and flap around. The trim seems in good shape other than no longer sticking to the front part of the door frame.
Any suggestions on the best glue/adhesive I should use to put it back into place?

What is the door trim made of? And what material is it needing to stick to?

The trim is a mesh material that was glued to the leading door edge. So it is the mesh on door frame metal.
I was thinking I should put a picture of of it since I am not sure I did a good job describing it.

Might try super glue gel, that should hold to both surfaces. If there is a residue on the metal door frame, clean it before applying adhesive. RTV silicone will also work. Best of luck.

The Dow yellow trim adhesive that has been around for many many years is still one of the best trim adhesives available.
You can get it at many auto parts stores. I got some a few weeks ago at an O'Reilly's.

I recommend strongly AGAINST silicone adhesive. Once you have used it, there are no more options in case of adhesive failure. It exudes a thin slimy layer of silicone oil (or so the engineers at Dow tell me) and you'll never get anything to bond to that surface, short of scraping it down with steel wool saturated with alcohol . . .maybe.

X2 for using this. I have used it for years on trucks it is nicknamed yellow death once it is on it will hold till the cows come home. Put it on each surface
a very thin coat allow about 5 to 10 min almost looks dry and stick together have it where you want it as soon as it touches it will be stuck.
