Drain Flies??

Our refrigerator in the s/b went out, new board needed, everything now has a board. So we moved down to the coach which has a pad and hookups, not much of an issue. However, we noticed these tiny, very tiny, bugs in the sink drain. DW is not a bug person. After a Google search it turns out they are drain flies? Never heard of them, ever! Bleach does not kill them, white vinegar, not. Anyone ever experience these creatures and if so what got rid of them?

I just found that, but have no experience Clay. I did have something like that in the toilet at the end of summer...but it wasn't exactly a fly...can't remember what I did......

That was educational. We used to get a few each year when we returned home from our summer trip. I've done the baking soda and vinegar and now apply blue tape to all the drains and it seemed to hacked solved it .

Hi Clay. I've done the baking soda with vinegar to freshen the drains. I put the blue tape on when we leave for the summer. I also shut off the main water inlet into the house.

Thanks Cliff. I searched a bit further. Amazon carries a safe enzyme product that coats the drains, cleans, and destroys the nest. I'll let the forum know for future reference.
