I have purchased a dual hitch to pull my CR-V and also mount a bike rack, info. stated that it can carry 400# hitch weight and 4000# tow capacity but the hitch bar which slides into the reciver is tubing just as my Blue ox tow bar not soild and that worries me. My CR-V is only 3200# so that should be fine but that tubing doesn't look very heavy duty. I would like to here from others users on how well it work for them.

We have a 2" opening in our hitch and we bought a dual receiver, one on top of the other, and we put a bike rack on the upper one just like you are doing. Ours is quite heavy duty and I don't have any worries.

If I understand your post correctly, yours is the actual hitch on the MH, so I am not quite sure if I was of any help.

Sorry if I did not get that across right as the one I have is a hitch adapter which slides into the reciver on the MH. Moldmkr was there a weight rating on yours for the lower reciever which is used for putting your Tow bar into.
