Step retract fuse for ignition.

On my 2014 Itasca Sunova 33C the step is supposed to retract when the ignition is turned on. It wasn't doing it. After much troubleshooting, and some bad information from Winnebago tech support, I discovered that a fuse feeds that hot ignition wire to the step. It was #38, a 10 amp on the under-dash fuse block. I replaced the fuse and all worked properly again.

Ford F53 chassis.

There are 3 fuses or circuit breakers on a Kwikee step wiring. 20 amp power, 5 amp activation, 10 amp ignition activation.

Kwikee trouble shooting chart is available online here:

Old info still helps

Yes, that 7 year old thread helped me, so I thought i would add my 2 cents for others looking for step solutions. Especially since none of the posts addressed the fact that there is a THIRD fuse in the step activation system.

I do find that kind of odd because , I've mentioned the third fuse and posted this file ( with a diagram showing it ) on many occasions .
