Electrical

Does anyone have a dolphin model # 3250 I would like to ask some questions,

I had shore power 50 to 30 to 20 amp and then my electrician came over and installed a 30 amp ever since he installed a 30 amp now nothing works not even the one 20 Amp that was working , I remember when I plugged it in I could hear a click in the panel box underneath the plug on the coach , had no Blown breakers inside but I had breaker tripped outside upfront on the passenger side on the converter

Everything will work on the generator except the microwave

Can anyone help

Have you measured the voltage on the new plug to make sure they did it correctly?

Before you plug in again you need to put a volt/ohm meter on the new 30 amp box the electrician installed. If he installed as a 3 wire 240 vac installation then serious damage could have been done. There should be 120 vac measured between the 2 angled upper slots. Also 120 vac between one of these slots and the bottom ground slot. There should be 0 vac between the ground and the other angled slot which is the neutral.

If there is 240 measured between the 2 angled slots then the outlet is wired incorrectly for a 30 amp RV hookup. Do not plug in!

Is your microwave toast now? Friend of mine made the same mistake and he was lucky that the microwave was the only thing he damaged.
