Electrical Schematics

Can anyone inform me as to which RV's (M.H. and T.T.) are supplied with electrical/plumbing schematics or drawings at the time of purchase.
I am being lead to believe that this is a rare occurance in the RV industry.
It seems to me that as RV's are providing more sophisticated systems the need for schematics and drawings only increases.
The cost to the manufacture is minimal as they must build from these drawings in the first place.
Most electrical items have a limited lifetime and will be in need of replacement at some point. When your RV is taken to the local repair facility, the difference between having a schematic and no schematic will be financially significant.
We should expect this level of documentation on all RV's.
Thanks for your comments....Bob

Our Country Coach came with everything including the schematics in the owners file case, but lots of manufacturers don't do it. Our '00 and '02 Newmar DSDP's had some generic ones but not specific to our rig like the CC has.

Agreed. I was very impressed with the Chassis, Electrical and Plumbing drawings supplied for our Country Coach. In addition the owners manual is very comprehensive with drawings and pictures, very specific to my serial numbered coach. All of the wiring has unique wire IDs, with physical labelling on all wires and numbering of electrical junctions/connections. Very handy in troubleshooting by cross referencing between engineered drawings and physical wiring in coach.

I have not had this level of information in all of my previous units - tent trailers, travel trailers, numerous 5th wheels - all the way up to high end $100K units.

Our 2012 Phaeton came with all electrical, plumbing, and component manuals plus diagrams as furnished. The manual package is a sizeable load to tote!

Country Coach has always done a marvelous job of creating numbered wiring and publishing the schematics.

Our Bounder didn't come with the schematics, but a call to Fleetwood and they were all emailed within minutes, so we have them printed and stored electronically. Plumbing, electrical, etc.

As experienced by Sarah, most mfg's will provide this information if asked. This is one of the few places that the term "orphan" actually means something..

Ditto the previous Country Coach owners. One box of component manuals and two 3" binders with all wiring schematics (chassis and house), plumbing schematics, torque values, lube specifications, etc.

Cb1000rider,
You have been misinformed. Surprising, we all know everything we read on the internet is true.😁

My Winnebago Sightseer is a 2008. I have been able to get schematics online directly from Winnebago in PDF and saved to my hard drive for instant access.

Fleetwood provided all electrical, plumbing, water, and sewer diagrams for our 1999 Discovery. Just a simple download on the computer and then print. Very helpful in tending to those things that happen from time to time.
Fleetwood support is also awesome. Have had great information on issues with our older coach.
Regards,
JimB
