Has anyone experienced problems with cracking or bubbling in the finish due to electrolysis? The repair bill is exceeding $8,000 now. Both slides were removed, all screws replaced and coating refinished. All due to manufacturer error in materials used.

Stan, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and look forward to reading of your advetures and experiences. Sorry to hear that the Country Coach is having electrolysis issues. One thing you will want to be sure of is that the frame and skin is bonded to ground. Hopefully someone can help you will get to the root of the problem. GOod luck and keep us posted.

I've heard of electrolysis problems on entry doors of that ere CCs but not the skin. You noted the slides, is that skin aluminum or fiberglass. The rest of the skin is fiberglass, right. I posted recently on an electrolysis problem I and others experienced on 94/95 era Holiday Endeavors with aluminum skin. Just sort of gets a cancer from the inside out caused by water leaks around the windows as per HR.
Good Luck
Dave

Go to the Yahoo forums. There is a Country Coach forum there that has had numerous posts about this issue over the years.
