Electronic problem

We have a 2008 Damon Essence with the Jensen in-dash GPS-CD/DVD player- backup and side camera option as well as the AM/FM radio. I went to the MH the other day to do some work and found the rear camera activated. It would not turn off nor would it switch camera views or change volume. Not lights to indicate it was on other than the screen.

I had to pull the unit out of the dash and pull a fuse in order to turn it off. Looking for a Jensen repair facility somewhere in Georgia or the SE US. The headquarters is in Elkhart.
This thing has a huge bundle of wires and I am not sure I want some of the local stereo shops cutting and splicing on it.

Anyone know of a Jensen dealer or competent dealer in electronics that could handle a repair? I would be willing to change brands if I can keep the rear and side camera capabilities. Are the alternative solutions?
Thanks

There are several brands of units similar to what you have. You could get the model number and do a google repair or comparison search. These kind of units change quite often (like computers) but you would want to have the simplest change out. Look at the camera inputs. Some units will have each camera inputed and some will go through a video selector first with only one input. Keep us posted on your findings.

If you have power to the camera when the ignition is off it's not the camera's fault. Are you sure you don't have an aux power switch or other radio power switch that powers the dash off the coach battery when parked?

If there is another power source I have no idea where it is coming from - and it has never done that before. I figure if it was jus power from another source, i.e. the chassis battery, it would show the normal lights that are illuminated when the unit is on during regular operation. There are none. Plus the image is flickering as if the power is weak.

The only thing out of normal is when I shut the unit down the last time I left a CD in the player. I am still scratching my head

RE: The wires:

There should be a plug. Either in the radio or in line within 12 inches of the radio.. This plug, will most likely, be uniform across all the in-dash radios Jensen makes.

Just so you know

Look for it

(NOTE: Key words are SHOULD BE, does not mean there is such a plug)
