EMS Intellitec Model 760
I recently replaced my 2nd EMS board and am wondering why... and what could be the cause??
I have a friend who has a Motorhome with an EMS system and he plugs into all 3 kinds of circuits, 20 amp, 30 amp, and 50 amp and has NO problems.
The #3 & 5 pins on the EMS circuit board were switched to off on the old board. Reading it I am confused as to what exactly they do. I think the #1-3 pin has something to do with the ranking of discharge, of shedding appliances. #5 makes the generator put out more. On the ORIGINAL board
#3 & 5 were switched off and I wonder if that is how I should put this new one.
Would appreciate any help or suggestions on how to set this up.

I wish I had an answer for you, but I don't, other than to offer you the service manual, if you don't already have it: CLICK HERE

Mine has worked well and been mostly reliable. It did get stuck once on 20 amp power where half the loads wouldn't come back on. But simultaneously disconnecting 12V and 120V power made it reset and start working properly again.

Good luck, I hope you figure it out!

one cause of problems is not shutting off all power users before starting or stopping the generator or plugging in or disconnecting shore power. another cause of electrical problems is plugging in the shore power cord or disconnecting the shore power cord without switching off the pedestal power.

Sam and Joann, what was the problem with the previous EMS boards? Make certain all connections are tight or burning may result. If burning has already happened the conductor needs to be cut back to good copper; even if that means spicing in a junction box.
