Entry steps not descending

We have a 2009 Fleetwood bounder class A motorhome. Our entry steps are not descending. The underneath entry light goes on, the motorhome is fully functional, however these steps are just not descending. Any ideas as to why?????

You have two fuses in the BCC ( battery control center ) . One is for the step switch and the other for the motor. Also a poor ground is a common cause. The ground wire from the control board under the step should be removed from the chassis and cleaned up and re attached.
Try these .

Read the following thread and links within post, you have three ground wires that can cause problems and you can test motor.

Can you hear the motor running when you open the door? If not check the fuses. If you hear the motor running read on. When I bought my MH my steps didn't descend but I could hear the motor running. I dropped the steps and found the linkage arm was broken. I ordered a new one from Kwikee for $30.00 and now they work fine.
