Eternabond tape

Assuming our '04 Beaver (Monaco) used Eternabond (it looks like Eternabond) for sealing the roof area, what to do with the edges where the thin white "plastic" top coat of the Eternabond is fraying?
THERE ARE NO LEAKS - it just looks tacky - but then it is 12' up

The Eternabond I've used and have three rolls of doesn't look like it could frey. It's all white plastic or vinyl and then the grey sticky stuff.

I used the DAP white sealant on each end of my cap runs. It has been2 years and still looks good and no fraying.

If I remember correctly the Eternabond installation instructions "suggest" a thin line of sealant along the leading edge (front end of rig) on RV applications to prevent fraying.

If you mean "used Eternabond" tape in the original factory build, I would want to find out for sure if that was true ...perhaps the new Monaco company could answer that question. I've not heard of RV mfgers using Eternabond, especially not back in '04. It may be, but very well may be something else too. 'Course, that doesn't mean the bead of sealant wouldn't be the way to go...

Thanks for the help and discussion folks. Think we'll try the tube(s) of sealant first. If that fails, the present 3" tape will get "covered" with the 4" variety.
