Finished up the install today, went to Fred and Jerry's Hdwe store in Inglis, Florida for the hose. 17.00 out the door. I hooked up the 20lb bottle and now with the cooler weather( 36 deg. this morning) I know have a backup should I let the big tank run dry. Think I am going to shut the big tank off and just use the 20 lb bottle and see how long it will last using the stove and furnace.

When parked I always run off the small tank using the big one as a reserve.

There is a very helpful video on Youtube produced by TrailerTV.com that shows how to install it. I followed it, did the install. It works great. Easy.

Can I use extended a stay from the big cylinders to heat my furnace?

You can use the Extend-a-stay from any size cylinder from an adapted 1 pounder to a many hundreds of gallons tank so long as the tankj has a VAPOR type outlet (They all do)

You will need to have custom hoses or lines made up for anything over around 30 pounds though.. not a problem, the propane dealer/supplier may even have 'em in stock.

I use a 20 pound bottle myself because that is what Fits where I carry it. but you can use it with ANY size tank.
