Are you accepting applications for a son?

Thanks for helping me make decision

Great posts! I have been going back and forth on this EW thing for months---- researching, talking to all the companies, getting quotes and fussing about this too long. You have helped me decide to self insure. $175-200/mo will do it. Thanks!

Come on guys, why do you think these company's are so anxious to sell you these E W'S? Sure ! It's because they love you so much and because they are just dying to help you out! The fact that they make millions of dollars off these things doesn't enter into the picture. Face it people, the chance of you costing them a major repair during the milage that they will cover is very slim indeed. And with a 500.00 deductible plus a 50.00 administration fee??? Give me a break please!!If these E W people are so anxous to help us out ,how about coverage that begins at a 100,000 miles when these things actually begin to give problems

One could replace the word "E W's" in your first sentence with just about any product on the market and it would be just as valid. All companies are in business to make as much money as they can... and not too worried about "helping us out".

The mention of the $500 deductible and $50 admin fee pertained to one particular policy. Mine is a $50 deductible (per visit, not per item) and no admin fee.

I am currently fighting a claim with XtraRide from Protective and have found 2 main problems first service department not knowing how to adequately explain the issue and secondly realize the EW f2f ompany is trying hard not to pay out by just saying no.....insist on a copy of the reason from your contract stating why it is being rejected, you will find it very vague and most times open to interpretation.

We have an EW with ProTek we got thru Wholesale Warranties. First claim was for a Fridge that went out over a weekend. Called Sears an set up repair. Got ahold of EW on Monday. They paid the claim even though I did not have prior approval based on the emergency nature of the problem. Second claim was for Battery Isolator Solinoid and TV losing Blue color. No questions asked both issued repaired by and RV dealer of my choice. With $100 deductible I can combine as many repairs as I want at one time and pay the deductible of $100 for all repairs lumped into one repair visit.

we also did well with wholesale war. 0 deductible if we get it repaired at dealer where we purchased mh and $50 elsewhere. Just make sure it states consequential damages covered in your contract. Do your research and they are negotiable ; have them bid against each other. On our 04 adventurer it paid for itself and then some.
