Question Exterior Wall Vent

Hello folks, I am replacing a Ventline, Exterior Wall Vent for a Cable Remote Range, part number V2154. What I need, to finish this replacement, is the cable grip and the connection between the cable and the vent flapper.

The vent box was coming lose so I took it to a shop to tighten. This was a big mistake. Long story short, the box fell apart and the flapper is laying along the side of a highway.

I know, I should have tighten it in the first place.

The cable clamp is made of plastic and is in a Turnip shape, narrow at the bottom and wide at the top. I still have it but it cannot be re-used. The connection between the end of the cable and the flap is a mystery due to the height of the connection point on the flapper and the angle of the cable.

Can anyone help, please? Thank you
