This is a f/u to my previous post concering the two (2) dead house batteries. It turns out that, although I purchased the RV in April 2006, the batteries were date stamped Sept 2004; therefore, Interstate Battery says the 30 month warranty has expired. I called the Winnebago dealer where I purchased the unit and he said "sorry, we only cover for one year following purchase." Bottom line: Demand new batteries when you purchase a new rig. Thanks for all the comments.

You'd think the warranty would commence on the date of purchase when that date is documented. Your experience doesn't speak well for Interstate batteries, thanks for the heads up on their business practices.

Interstate batteries are highly rated (and highly priced) but their "Full Warranty" is about as hokie as a three-dollar bill! The local supplier seemed to look for every way out of honoring the so-called "warranty". Never again for me.
