Falling shades

Ok, one of our ‘14 Plazzo dual shades mounting brackets broke. (The longest shade of course).

While trying to take unit down the others mounts broke also.

Note in pix that the mounts are spring loaded devices. The whitish area on mounts are where they broke.

To repair I used 3” x 3” T irons, (3 of them-same number as original mounts)

The cross bar of T was mounted to the top of the long direction of steel shade holder with #8-1/2” screws. The leg of T then stuck out where I could run screws up into wood above. New version much easier to install!

Didn’t think to take pix when mounting Ts. Peter
