Locally no one can help me with the belt replacements on a 1989 Gulfstream Sun Vista High Rise GM P32 Chassis 454 Gas.
Vin # 1GBKP37W7J3327564 . Bought it with all the belts removed and missing. There is a routing diagram on the upper smog pump. There is one 5 grooved belt and three v-belts. Are these so unusual that our local GM truck center can't figure it out or am I just asking the wrong people?
Thanks

The 454 in the P32 RV chassis uses different belt routings/lengths than those of for a pick-up truck or van and the replacement belt manufacturer's application guides don't list the Rv chassis.

An auto parts store MAY be able to call a belt manufacturer and ask their tech support people for help. Just tell them it is a 1989 Chevy P30/P32 chassis under a motorhome. Sometimes the tech support people have answers that aren't in the books.

Is your local GM truck center a medium/heavy truck dealer or a typical Chevy truck (pick-up & van) place? I ask because the GM/Chevy Step Vans use a similar chassis and the belts might be the same.

http://www.advanceautoparts.com/

Lists the all the Belts for the P 30 454 including Motor Home. There Serpentine Belt is listed as 6 grooves. You might call them they are good about taking things back for credit if you keep it clean.

I tried the AdanceAuto online catalog for serpentine belts but the results were not encouraging. They list a Workhorse P30 for 2000 but show no serpentine belts for it. Ditto for 2002. Then I tried a 1999 and found no Workhorse listing but there is a Chevrolet with a P30. But that doesn't seem to be a motorhome chassis. First of all, Chevy had already sold the RV business to Workhorse by then and second the Advance catalog shows a 4.3L V6 as one of the engines for it! Must be a different P30.
