Fantastic fan lid
A plastic piece on the lid that attaches to the opening arm broke. The lid I'd heldon by a piano hinge. Their customer service just closed for the holidays so I thought I'd give you guys a try.
Anybody ever replace a dome lid on a fantastic vent B8100.

I've replaced about every part on one. Since there is a lifetime warranty, call them next week and they'll ship you one with instructions.

Wow!!
I have a cracked lid, they will cover that ??
Been looking all over for the correct lid. Didn't they get bought by someone last year?

They were taken over by Atwood in 2010. New products are now 2 yr warranty. However, they must still be honoring the old warranty since I have ordered at least 5 parts since 2010 and the last a few months ago.... all free.

No more lifetime warranty on my recent repair parts. The lid lift spline coupling was stripped (pot metal). In my opinion that is a design flaw. The "tech" on the other end of the phone was not sympathetic ... asked for my CC number. I asked if I could just purchase the coupling ... nope ... gotta buy the motor too, shaft and all.

Nothing is forever
I have had exactly the same experience as Moonrover. New motor, shaft, splined coupler, etc. was about $65 and shipping if I remember correctly. Nothing lasts forever including warranties, especially if you want the company to be in business when you need them again. One of my least expensive repairs. Fix it and enjoy..........or not.

IIRC the lid is around $30, maybe $45.

Found one on Amazon yesterday for $34.90 free shipping on Prime. Been looking for a long time CW only carried the vent style. Ordered it, be here Weds..

Fantastic vent lid
Just got hold of Attwood ... Who now owns fantastic vent. Great customer service. My lid was manufactured in 2007 so they sent me a new lid free...but had to pay $12.95 for shipping. I'm satisfied with that deal.
