I can tell you that their parent company was Champion. We had a 78 Titan. They were a well built coach in their day. I just don't think they were able to compete with the market that survived the era. What chassis is the 92 you are looking at on? If the unit is priced right, the condition is very good, the floor plan is what you want and you know how you are going to use it and it fits all this I would not be afraind of it. Just be aware that there may be some body components that are no longer available. The appliances and chassis parts are not a problem aquiring. Good luck and enjoy!

It is on a Spartan chassis with a 5.9 diesle I don't think it is turbo. It is 33 ft. long, is that enough power to push it through the mountains as that is were I live and to get out of here it is I go from 1300 ft to 5000ft

Spartan make a good chassis and if you do not overload or tow a hugh SUV or something behind you should have enough power to do the job efficiently. Why not take it on a test run to a mechanic for an inspection of the running gear?
Good luck and keep us posted.

Our first MoHo was a 1985 Champion, 27'class A. It was a well built unit and we had no problems with the coach. The down side was it was built on the P-30 chassis.

Firan is a Canadian Company owned by one of the original Firestone tire people. Many years ago it started by buying Glendale, a Canadian manufacturer of RV's and they have constantly have produced very high quality RV's in Strathroy Ontario, and at another location out in western Canada under the Travelaire name.
Firan bought the assets of Bankrupt Champion Motorhomes ( I believe) and started to produce the same models that Champion did just changing the Champion name to Firan.
They produced these units in Indiana for a few years and then suddenly just closed down operations in the US.
In Canada they still produce Class C motorhomes, Golden Falcon Trailers and 5th wheels, and the new Titanium trailers and 5ers which are also being sold in the US but made in Canada.
I believe that Forest River did buy some of the tooling left over from Firan, but am not sure about that.

I did some investigation on this a few years back for investment purposes and what FC says is what I too found. Also, Firan's parent company is a aviation company that makes avionics for controll towers and cockpits for jets. I believe mostly in Europe and England. Why or how they decided to get into the RV industry I don't know, does not seem related to me.
